England Team Selection Announced: Bellingham and Foden Omitted, Bukayo Returns
Thomas Tuchel has opted to stick with the identical England squad that triumphed against their previous opponents and delivered an impressive display in Serbia during the previous international break, finding no place for the Real Madrid star and the Manchester City attacker in his selection for the upcoming friendly against the Welsh side and the qualifying match in the Baltic nation.
Despite Foden pushing for a recall after regaining his top condition at his club, and Bellingham having returned for Real Madrid following shoulder surgery, the national team manager has opted not to selecting two of the nation's biggest attacking talents. Bellingham has started just a single time for his team since his return.
The England boss has made room for the Arsenal winger, who is back to fitness and has been restored in place of his injured Arsenal teammate Noni Madueke. Jack Grealish has not been handed a recall.

The national team coach expressed his admiration for the energy in last month's squad and appears determined to maintaining the vibe. Tino Livramento, who started at left-back in the convincing victory in Belgrade, has dropped out due to a knee injury. Tuchel has not called up a direct replacement for the Magpies star but has included John Stones, who had to pull out last month. Tuchel has spoken about the Manchester City defender's significance for England and has floated the idea of deploying him in the middle of the park.
There is no place for Adam Wharton, who was called up last month but withdrew due to injury and was replaced by the Milan player.
The manager stated: “It was only three weeks after the last camp and the last win, the last performance, so the consideration was why not select the same group in because they set the standard. Now it is about creating habits out of it. We have unfortunately a couple of fitness issues at the moment with Tino and Noni and we welcome of course the Arsenal forward in to take the place of Noni. The defender was a last-minute addition last time; he will stay in camp.”
